Career night on academia
KNCV organises two career events together with KVCV. The first one is on 20 April and has a focus on an academic career. The second one (in Dutch) is on 28 April and has a focus on careers outside academia.
As a scientist you cannot avoid publication of your research. Therefore Leana Travaglini (Associate Editor at Wiley-VCH) will talk about her role as a scientific editor and she will give you a look behind the scenes of Chemistry - A European Journal.
After that both Richard Hoogenboom (Full Professor at Ghent University) and Timothy Noel (Full Professor at University of Amsterdam) discuss their path to their current position. There is not one single way to climb the so-called academic ladder, therefore Richard and Timothy share their do's and don'ts.
Details about the speakers can be found here.
After each talk there is the possibility to ask questions.
The evening lasts untill about 21h30.
Important note: This career night is free of charge and only open to members of KNCV and KVCV.
