The KNCV Gouden Medaille is the most important award in the Netherlands for researchers who have done groundbreaking work in the chemistry profession in the broadest sense of the word. The prize is awarded to researchers aged younger than 40, not only to honour their accomplishments but also to predict future chemical triumphs. The KNCV has awarded the Gouden Medaille to top talents in chemistry in the Netherlands since 1965.
Winner 2020 announced
Prof. Dr Dr Patricia Dankers, professor of Biomedical Materials at Eindhoven University of Technology, wins the KNCV Gold Medal 2020. “In Dankers' research you can recognize a unique line of her own,” says jury chairman Jurriaan Huskens. The highest Dutch award for top chemical talent will be presented in December at the CHAINS chemistry conference.
