The KNCV Gouden Medaille is the most important award in the Netherlands for researchers who have done groundbreaking work in the chemistry profession in the broadest sense of the word. The prize is awarded to researchers aged younger than 40, not only to honour their accomplishments but also to predict future chemical triumphs. The KNCV has awarded the Gouden Medaille to top talents in chemistry in the Netherlands since 1965.
Prof. dr. ing. Timothy Noël, professor of Flow Chemistry at the Faculty of Science at the University of Amsterdam (UvA), is the winner of the KNCV Gold Medal 2021. In the jury report, Noël is described as “an exceptionally strong candidate with a unique profile in the field of flow chemistry, in which the great national and international visibility of his work stands out”.
