A joint future for Medicinal Chemistry and Chemical Biology in the Netherlands
50th Anniversary Symposium
On the 26th and 27th of October 2020 the medCHEMbio2020conference is organised in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. The theme of this conference is ‘A joint future for Medicinal Chemistry and Chemical Biology in the Netherlands’ and is organised as a celebration of the 50th anniversary of the KNCV sectie Farmacochemie. In relation to this celebration the division decided to broaden their perspective and change their name to KNCV Division Medicinal Chemistry & Chemical Biology (MCCB).
The conference has a two-day programme full of interesting national and international speakers, such as Ben Feringa (Nobel Laureate 2016, RUG) and Matt Bogyo (Stanford University). These speakers provide the content of the several theme sessions about:

- Protein-protein interactions
- Activity-based protein profiling
- Carbohydrates/glycans
- Cellular chemistry
- Bioorthogonal and bioconjugation chemistry
- Photopharmacology
